Happy Father's Day

Father's Day turned out to be quite an eventful day for us. Ryan had to fly back home to Canada that day, so we got up and left the beach house at 3:00 in the morning to make the 3 hour drive to Raliegh, NC. We arrived at the airport shortly after 6:00am, and it was then that we realized that we had left Ryan's passport at the beach house. OH NO! We tried to still get him on the flight, but with the new passport laws for US air travel, it wasn't going to happen. So we had to drive three hours back to the beach house, get the passport, and then turn around and drive three hours back to the airport to get him on the last flight of the day. The good part of all of this was that it allowed Ryan about an hour to play on the wagon with Reagan on Father's Day when we went back to the beach house for the passport. Otherwise, he would have spent all of Father's Day on the plane. Of course, this meant that he spent all of Father's Day Night on the plane and then had to go to work pretty much as soon as he got home. Lesson learned... we will always check to make sure that we have the passports BEFORE leaving for the airport in the future! Reagan enjoyed getting to spend time with Momsey that day. She doesn't like to be in her car seat for long periods of time, so we didn't make her go for the second trip to the airport!
