The Space Needle

We had an amazing view of The Space Needle from our hotel room. It literally seemed that we could just reach out of our window and touch it! It was pretty awesome to see all lit up at night. And the views from the top were breathtaking!

Valentine's Weekend

We went to Seattle for Valentine's weekend to take Reagan to see the Playhouse Disney on stage performance. We took advantage of the time that we were there, and did quite a bit of sightseeing as well. I think that Reagan's favorite part of the trip (other than seeing Mickey Mouse live in person!) was the fact there was a swimming pool in the hotel. She is such a fish! Here's a few pictures of her at the pool each day we were there.

Daddy's Award

Thankfully someone took a picture of Ryan receiving his award with his boss, Tim. There's even a shot of Ryan as he is giving his "acceptance speech!" Reagan was so excited to see her Daddy when he got home, and she was once again spoiled rotten with the souvenirs that he brought back for her. I couldn't resist snapping a shot of her snuggling with Ryan while wearing the shirt that he got her.

Girls Weekend

Daddy went to New Brunswick for the weekend to accept his NATIONAL AWARD for the Best Landscape Maintenance in ALL OF CANADA, so Reagan and I had a "Girls Weekend". Ryan doesn't like sushi, so it was the perfect time to have it since I love it! Reagan gave it a good shot, but she was more interested in using the chopsticks than actually eating it.
By the way, we are so proud of Ryan for this award. It's a major accomplishment to have even been nominated, much less to have won the biggest award of all. Reagan's Daddy is AMAZING!

Braids

As you can tell from this blog, I love playing with Reagan's hair! I couldn't believe that she actually sat still long enough for me to do it, but I was able to braid her hair. It didn't stay up long because she wouldn't leave it alone, but it was cute for a few minutes!

I Need a Nap

It's not often that Reagan takes naps anymore... I'm lucky if she takes on at least once a week. But every so often, she just NEEDS one! This day, she climbed into my recliner, pulled the blanket down around her and fell asleep within seconds. She was one tired girl!

Please Mom, Can I Go Play in the Snow?!

Anytime it snows, Reagan gets so excited. She loves it! She will sit at the front window and anxiously watch it coming down just waiting on me to say, "Let's go outside and play!" It takes some work to get all bundled up, but it is worth it! Once we get outside, she doesn't want to come back in!

Reagan's Big Girl Room

Reagan has moved out of the nursery and into her big girl room! She never was much for sleeping in her crib... she pretty much went straight from our bed to her toddler bed. Seeing as how she didn't stop sleeping with us until she was almost 18 months old, so outgrew the toddler bed pretty fast. She is so proud of her "real" bed and her new big girl room!

The Backyardigans

Reagan loves to watch the Backyardigans on television, so we were super excited when we found out that they would be performing LIVE in our area. I'm not sure who had the most fun... the show was spectacular. We had fantastic seats (as you can tell from the pictures) which made it even better for Reagan. She LOVED it! She was a bit awestruck at first, but once she got over her initial shock of what was happening right before her very eyes, she was hilarious to watch. She would wave her arms and shout, "Hi Pablo! Bye Pablo!" while she clapped along with their songs. She even started blowing them kisses at the end... it was great! We had so much fun that we booked tickets the very next day to go see the Disney Playhouse characters on stage performing in Seattle in February for Valentines!

My Bruiser

"If you think Reagan looks bad, you should see the little girl who tried to take her doll away from her." That was the line that Ryan told the nurse when we went to the emergency room to get Reagan's head stitched up. I've posted on this blog numerous times that Reagan is a monkey and that she loves to climb. Well, this time she was climbing in the wrong spot. It was first thing in the morning... we had just started to get moving around upstairs. I was in the bathroom when I heard the crash and then the screaming. I knew instantly what she had done, and when I came around the corner, my fears were confirmed. Reagan had tried to climb up my jewelry armoire to get a small jewelry box off the top of it. The piece of furniture itself weighs over 50 pounds, but when she started climbing it became too top heavy. She brought the entire thing down on top of herself. The cut that it created was just above her left eye, and it was deep enough that you could see the eye socket bone. I bundled her up and took off to the ER. Ryan met us there (he was at work) and we watched as the doctor put five stitches into her forehead. She was awake (but seriously drugged up) for the entire process, and she handled it better than Ryan or I would have. The stitches came out a week later, and it looks like it is going to heal nicely. She will probably have a scar, but it is right in line with her eyebrow so it will hopefully be concealed. If not, I figure we have two options... 1: she learns to use an eyebrow pencil at a very early age or 2: we grow out her bangs so that it keeps it covered! All joking aside, I am just so thankful that she wasn't hurt any worse than she was. We are working on trying to "tame" our wild monkey from climbing so much, and we are in the process of bolting everything in the house to either the floor or the wall to prevent any future accidents like this one!

Reagan's Picnic

Reagan and her baby had an afternoon picnic at her table. She really likes to play pretend!

Baking with Momsey

Momsey helped Reagan and I bake a cake... it was delicious thanks to Reagan!

All Grown Up

I have fun playing with Reagan's hair and putting it in all kinds of cute styles. But this one made her look a little too grown up for me! But she thought she was beautiful, and that is all that matters. She came downstairs and said, "Pops, look at me!"

Stanley Park

We went to Stanley Park to ride the Christmas train and see all of lights and displays. Unfortunately, we didn't get to ride the train because it was over a three hour wait to get tickets! But we had a good time anyway! Reagan really enjoyed the petting zoo (of course!) and getting to see all of the beautiful Christmas lights. We'll know next year to buy our tickets online the day before we go so that we can ride that train!

Triplets

Momsey, Reagan and I were dressed as triplets for the day when we went to Newlands for brunch and then down to Stanley Park to see the Christmas lights. I LOVE THESE PICTURES!
