Reagan and her Daddy got to experience something today that they have been waiting to do since November 19th, 2008. It has been 134 days since the last time Ryan was able to hold Reagan due to his three back surgeries. He hasn't been able to lift anything over 5 pounds. (That includes a gallon size container of milk that is full... I am relieved to be done with my morning duties of pouring the milk for his cereal!) Ryan saw his neurosurgeon this afternoon and was given permission to lift (cautiously) up to 40 pounds. I told Reagan the news while he was on his way home, and as soon as she saw his truck pull into the drive she was ready to run out the door. She literally jumped into his arms and gave him the biggest squeeze I had ever seen! It was a very special moment, and I'm not sure who was the happiest between the two to finally be able to truly bear hug once again!

Oh my, those are sweet pictures. You can tell how much she adores her daddy! I bet he'll be getting a lot of hugs now!
Oh, that is adorable! I love daddy/daughter pictures! I'm sure he was just as happy as she to be able to hold her again.
Sorry about her croup. We've only had to deal with that particular ailment once, and it is NOT fun! Hope she's better soon!
